What Is a Contractor?
A contractor is someone or a firm that you will seek information from on the job you would like done. The contractor will generally give you a quote on how much the job will cost you. The quote is similar to a bid. You will normally phone 3 or 4 different contractor and you’ll receive 4 different quotes. These quotes are like bids. The contractor will bid his price and you will decide on which one will best suit your needs.
Once you have chosen a contractor he will then choose his own team of sub contractors to assist him or her with the job. The contractor can assist with the job or he may not it’s his choice. The bid that they normally quote the job with should be enough for him to pay his sub contractors and machine hiring.
